Bully was formed in April 2000 by Kevin Cadogan, ex-guitarist of Third Eye Blind, shortly after his unjust expulsion. Bully has gone through a number of name changes from the original Bully, to Cadogan, to Cousin Kevin, and finally back to Bully. Bully was publically noticed when they performed at the 2000 Califoria Music Awards and then put out their first album "Bully For You" on an independant label. Bully's last perfomance in San Francisco was under the name Cousin Kevin where they impressed a number of record labels and even more fans. Just after the performance, Cousin Kevin releasd "Coming Back From Yesterday" also on an independant label. After the performance in San Francisco and the album release, Kevin Cadogan was forced to take time off for his new baby and the stress-full and the time-consuming legal suit against Third Eye Blind. During this time, Adam Johson, "Messiah," left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by bassist Dan Bruce. On June 19th of 2002, Third Eye Blind finally settled for an undisclosed amount after their motion to exclude a forensic expert's testimony (in which would state that Kevin's signature on an Elektra contract was forged) was denied. Today many magazines and other national plublications, including MTV, have close eyes on Bully and what will become of Third Eye Blind's ex-guitarist.
